why furiousCMS?
After losing my job due to the economy, the ground wasn't level, the wind was totally blowing against me, yada yada yada.... I decided it was time to forget working for "the man" and do this the right way. I'm going to give this web development business I started 8 years ago a true run. Client after client wanted to use content management systems.
So like many web designer/developers, I learned Joomla and Drupal. And also like many web designer/developers I then proceeded to pull my hair out building modules and templates using these CMS solutions. The clients would get their sites in fine working order, but I was left with the feeling, "There has to be a better way."
But then the real problems would come... clients would let their sites die from a lack of updates, they would call, email, send smoke signals screaming about the cumbersome interface and how difficult it was to use. Again... "There has to be a better way."
One of the tenets of CMS is that the average Joe or Jane off the street should be able to update and create without picking up the phone to call their local web developer. So that's what I have set out to do, truly make the very first end-user friendly CMS.
I wanted to allow my customers to add cool things like photo galleries and featured product blocks without having to call me. I love my customers, but I knew the true appreciation for b2b service is when the business you serve does MORE business with less.
